General

All the eucalypts are now included in genus Eucalyptus, with Angophora and Corymbia now included in Eucalyptus. Some of the rationale for this change is provided in Nicolle (2024).

Updated names

Corymbia haematoxylon (p. 24):
Now known as Eucalyptus haematoxylon (Nicolle 2024).

Corymbia chlorolampra (p. 26):
Now known as Eucalyptus chlorolampra (Nicolle 2024).

Corymbia calophylla (p. 28):
Now known as Eucalyptus calophylla (Nicolle 2024).

Corymbia ficifolia (p. 30):
Now known as Eucalyptus ficifolia (Nicolle 2024).

Eucalyptus melanophitrus (p. 128):
Considered an orthographic variant spelling of Eucalyptus melanophitra.

Eucalyptus gardneri subsp. ravensthorpensis (p. 136):
Now recognised at species status as Eucalyptus ravensthorpensis (Gosper et al. 2019).

Eucalyptus goniantha subsp. kynouron (p. 172):
Considered an orthographic variant spelling of Eucalyptus goniantha subsp. kynoura.

Eucalyptus dissimulata (p. 210):
Now has two subspecies. All population in region covered by book are Eucalyptus dissimulata subsp. dissimulata (Nicolle & French 2021).

Eucalyptus sp. Ravensthorpe (p. 212):
Now formally named as Eucalyptus austrina (Nicolle & French 2021).

Eucalyptus foecunda (p. 214):
Now has two subspecies. Southern populations (south from Jurien Bay) are subsp. foecunda. Northern populations (north from Leeman) are subsp. aeolica (Nicolle & French 2021).

Eucalyptus sp. Sullivan Soak (p. 216, Notes):
Now formally named as Eucalyptus lunata (Nicolle & French 2021).

Eucalyptus horistes (p. 218):
Now divided into several species. Populations near the west coast in the region covered by book remain E. horistes. Populations near the south coast in the region covered by book are now Eucalyptus ecdysiastes (Nicolle & French 2021).

Eucalyptus sp. Southern smooth-bark (p. 218):
Now formally named as Eucalyptus ecdysiastes (Nicolle & French 2021).

Eucalyptus uncinata (p. 220):
Now has two subspecies. All population in region covered by book, except those of E. sp. Mt Short, are Eucalyptus uncinata subsp. uncinata (Nicolle & French 2021).

Eucalyptus sp. Mt Short (p. 220, Notes):
Now formally named as Eucalyptus uncinata subsp. crassifolia (Nicolle & French 2021).
